Vivek Rane is a post graduate in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh which is an internationally recognized institution. He has specialization in landscape architecture i.e. Green wall, podium landscaping, turf, potted plants, kitchen garden, their installation and maintenance etc. He has worked in several areas of Landscaping and Horticulture with several private organizations (L & T STEC, Mayfair, Green Kings etc.).  He contributed in developing and implementation of an appropriate Horticultural Management System (HMS) to support the projects which delivered added value and efficiency. Presently, he is working as a General Consultant with Mumbai Metro and responsible to design and develop plantation and landscaping proposals for different metro sites at Mumbai in consultation with local governing bodies. As a team leader his main role is to standardize the tree transplantation and compensatory plantation. He is a recognized Arborist by the Arboriculture society of Mumbai, Maharashtra. In addition to his regular job he has also developed specialization in culture of ornamental aquatic plants and setting up of the planted aquarium tanks as a hobbyist.
