About the course
The Aqua-clinic and Aquapreneur Development Programme (ACADP) is a highly specialized scheme launched by the National Fisheries Development Board (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India), Hyderabad. The objective of ACADP is to empower fisheries/Life sciences graduates with such skills and technical capabilities that they are either able to set up a “Service Provide Centers” known as “Aqua-clinics/Aqua-one centres” to help the aquaculture farmers or plan to set up their own aqua-farming related startups. The ACADP is being implemented in the country by National Institute of Agriculture Extension Management (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Government of India), Hyderabad i.e. MANAGE. through Nodal Training Institute (NTI). The OFTRI is one among the 10 NTI’s identified by MANAGE and only one from the private sector.

Course fee
The training is completely free of cost including lodging and boarding. However, the schedule of training is not known in advance. An interested candidate may pre-register to be informed about these programmes.
Benefits
A participant subsequent to the successful completion of the training could submit a project proposal to MANAGE/NFDB through the NTI for setting up Aqua-one centres or aqua-farming related business and will be eligible for grant of Rs.10.00 lakh maximum.
